Federal Court Order: E...

  Thanks to the tenacity of a few national groups and local communities bringing suit…EPA may need to rule on coal ash earlier than anyone thought possible. The order issued by the US District Court for the District of Columbia at the end of September said the court will issue a Memorandum Opinion by October 30th addressing the concerns of environmental organizations that sued the EPA to promulgate the rule. Well could not be a better week for coal ash issues. Federal courts push EPA to rule on coal ash and Region 7 announced that they will take a closer look at the Rotary Drilling site for risk to human health before announcing the finalized settlement no the damage case. LEO, in a Documentary?

You bet! Film maker Rhiannon Fionn visited Labadie for several days to collect stories and film for her documentary on coal ash. We visited other metro-St. Louis communities also impacted by coal ash…including a young gentleman and his family in St. Genevieve where underground dumping of toxic waste could be impacting his well.
