EPA Comes to St. Louis

LEO has visited with him and other members of the Administration to discuss the need for a strong Coal Ash Rule. Prepare to VOTE on Ame...

Last year the MCRI (Midwest Coalition for Responsible Investing) almost exceeded the 50% vote mark to make the Coal Ash Shareholder Resolution force Ameren to consider alternatives for dumping in the floodplain. This was with minimal planning time. The reality is that shareholders would be hurt by inevitable contamination of groundwater, damages from pond collapses, etc. Ameren should be doing everything possible to protect the environment in which they operate their business. LEO Lobbies on Coal As...

February 29th, LEO joined with 120+ citizen lobbyists from across Missouri to talk with legislators about coal ash, parks, clean water, food, green building and energy policy. Franklin County Missouri had 14 people there this year due to LEO mobilization. Good for a workday in February! LEO Files Suit to Prot...

Weds Nov 23rd LEO and 11 other landowners/neighbors filed papers with the Franklin County Circuit Court in an effort to nullify recently adopted utility landfill regulations. If unchecked, Ameren would move forward with building the coal ash landfill in the Missouri River floodplain in Labadie.   The lawsuit was filed and a Writ of Certiorari was issued by the judge.
