The date is fast approaching for Ameren’s Annual Shareholder’s Meeting in St. Louis. This year MCRI is submitting another version of the Coal Ash Shareholder’s Resolution for vote. Last year the MCRI (Midwest Coalition for Responsible Investing) almost exceeded the 50% vote mark to make the Coal Ash Shareholder Resolution force Ameren to consider alternatives for dumping in the floodplain. This was with minimal planning time. The reality is that shareholders would be hurt by inevitable contamination of groundwater, damages from pond collapses, etc. Ameren should be doing everything possible to protect the environment in which they operate their business. LEO Lobbies on Coal As...

February 29th, LEO joined with 120+ citizen lobbyists from across Missouri to talk with legislators about coal ash, parks, clean water, food, green building and energy policy. Franklin County Missouri had 14 people there this year due to LEO mobilization. Good for a workday in February!
