Come join us Tues July 19th, 6PM – 8PM to watch and discuss the movie Living Downstream. Thanks to Hillermann Nursery 2601 E. 5th Street in Washington MO for providing the venue and Missouri Organic Association for lending us the film.  Living Downstream explores the connection between water contamination and cancer.  Some of the same issues LEO has raised in respects to the industrial pollution in the Labadie Bottoms.  The discussion period after the movie will provide time to explore questions and potential solutions.  Did you know that a recent study on mercury contamination of surface water was released by Environment Missouri?  Hopefully, Ted can make it out for the discussion to give us his insights.  Originally we had Ted Mathys of Environment Missouri and Mike Bush the Confluence Riverkeeper planned for our panel discussion. You never know…we may add an additional surprise guest.
